The new ‘suburban’ Torquay Beach House for a young professional couple.
This 3 bedroom home locates the primary living zone on the upper level to capture the Northern sun, cool sea breezes and glimpses to the ocean. The tapering, steel famed roof floats above the high level glazing and gradually twists and increases in ceiling height above the living room.
The materials palette incorporates honest, economical and robust materials including blockwork, fibre cement and timber.
